MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and coordinate security prior and during food distribution
- Conduct security awareness to staff and affiliated
- Supervise performance of the contracted security services provider
- Ensure functionality of security equipment
- Investigate and report security incidents timely
- Prepare periodical security reports and ensure timely sharing
- Provide security brief to visitors
- Represent WVT in security forums and ensure effective with other security stakeholders in the camp
END RESULTS
- Well planned and coordinated security
- Improved knowledge among Staff on security aspects
- Effective networking and agency well represented
- Good performance by Contracted Vendor
- Proper functionality of security equipment
- Incidents are investigated properly and reported timely
- Reports compiled and shared timely
- Visitors briefed accordingly
Required Professional Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a proven security field public or private institution
- Experience in humanitarian is an added value
- Has strong relating and networking skills
- First aid qualified
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Degree in law, military or social science from a recognized institution
- No previous criminal records
Physical Requirements
Should be physically fit

World Vision is excited to announce an opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join our team as a Security Officer.
As a Security Officer, you will work on providing security services to our organization, safeguarding World Vision personnel, property and resources. In addition, you will be tasked with identifying, researching and resolving security compliance issues and be involved in implementing security requirements for the operations of the organization.
Successful candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of security incidents and analysis, utilizing a holistic approach to security within the context of World Vision’s overall safety and security policy and procedures.
You must also demonstrate a stringent understanding of safety protocols, risk mitigation strategies and emergency preparedness. It is necessary to be aware of and conversant in legislation and regulations that pertain to the security industry.
Applicants should have an up to date knowledge of access control systems andVideo surveillance systems, as well as the capacity to manage contractors and suppliers in this area.
It is preferred that applicants hold a degree in fraud and security management, with prior experience working in the security profession. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, with a focus on self-development, will be an added bonus.
