De Bruyne told reporter Aster Nzeyimana: “For Michele [his wife], an exotic trip is acceptable. These are also topics that we are having more frequently as a family.
“I still have one year left on my contract, so I need to consider what could happen. My eldest son is now eight years old and only knows England.
“He also asks how long I plan to play for City. When the time comes, we’ll have to deal with it in a specific way.”
De Bruyne will turn 33 at the end of the month and will soon reach the final year of his City deal.
Regarding his move to Saudi Arabia, De Bruyne stated, “At my age, you have to be open to anything. You’re talking about enormous sums of money in what could be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to consider that.”
“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn a huge sum of money. Previously, I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even have reached that number yet.
“Then you have to consider what that might mean next. But I haven’t had to think about that yet.
