Each applicant should possess at least a Credit or Second Class or equivalent Diploma/Certificate in a relevant field from a recognized Institution plus a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5passes (i.e. 5 subjects without a grade 9) (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least One Principal Pass and Two Subsidiary Passes obtained at the same sitting (or its equivalent).

Please note that the Principal subjects required for admission to Diploma
must be passed at Principal or Subsidiary levels.

A non-refundable application fee of Shs. 50,000/= (Fifty thousand shillings only), (Ugandans) and $30 (International Students) plus the bank charge, must be paid at any Stanbic/DFCU Bank branch and ECO Bank, Revenue collection Account.
Certified copies of Diploma/Certificate Transcripts (not photocopies of certified copies) from the awarding institutions and Passport size photograph MUST be submitted to the Admissions Division Room 3, after payment of application fees.

The Academic Registrar, Kyambogo University, invites applications for private admission to the following programmes for the 2021-2022 Academic Year.

Applicants should fill the forms online from the website: https://admissions.kyu.ac.ug.  On submitting the form, print out a payslip and pay a non-refundable fee of Shs.50,000/=(Nationals from the Republics of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan) and $30 (Other Nationals) plus whatever bank charges that are levied by each bank integrated with our system namely:  Dfcu Bank, Eco Bank and Stanbic Bank.

Applicants with qualifications from countries other than Uganda must submit photocopies of equated academic documents from UNEB to the Admissions Office, Room 1 on submission of the online application form and not later than the closing date for receiving applications.

General Admission Requirements

A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to a first degree programme at the University if he/she has:

(i) The Ugandan Certificate of Education (O’Level) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting, and

(ii) At least 2 Principal Passes in approved subjects obtained at the same sitting of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination (A’Level).

A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to any diploma programme at the University if he/she has:

(i) The Ugandan Certificate of Education with a minimum of 5 Passes obtained at the same sitting, and

(ii)  At least 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiary passes in approved principal subjects at the same sitting of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination (A’Level).

The Dean, Faculty of Vocational Studies invites online applications for admission to the following short courses for applicants with a minimum entry requirement of Ugandan Certificate of Education (‘O’ Level).

Access The online application link above.
NOTE: There might be other websites masquerading as the application portal. Only access the link above or advertised by the university. Ensure that the page is secure before you continue.

Step 2: Signup

– Signup by clicking the orange signup button at the bottom of the page. If you  cannot see the button, your browser could be having a zoom in setting. Zoom out holding down the “CTRL” button and pressing “+” button on PC and “CMD”and “+” on Mac

– A password (six-digit number) will be sent to Your mobile number and your email address.
NOTE: Sometimes depending your Mobile Telecom service provider, the
message may delay or not be delivered. In this case, don’t panic, simply check your email. The same information is sent to your email as well.
– Login using this password and your email address or your mobile number by selecting the “login with Tel No” option
– After Logging in, you will be prompted to change the password to the one you can remember. Password should have at least a length of six Characters

The system will take you back to the login prompt to now login with your new password

Step 3 Filling a Form

After Logging in, click on the Button to view the advertised Schemes

Read the instructions carefully of each of the scheme you want to apply for

Fill in the application form accordingly. To submit there is minimum information that must be captured. If you don’t have this information ready, simply save the form and return later to complete it when you have all the information required to submit the application form

Kyambogo University Admission Letters 2022-2023 | Guidelines for issuing out Admission Letters for Academic Year 2022-2023.

This is to inform you that the admission letters for fresh undergraduate students, admitted through Direct Entry Scheme, for the Academic year 2022-2023 will be issued out from your respective Faculties/Schools.

In order for one to be issued with the admission letter, he/she should present his/her A’level identity card of the previous school.

Please be informed that;

1. Admission letters for National Merit, Disability Scheme, Talented Sports Persons and District Quota are being issued out from THE Admissions Building Block 02 Room 03.
2. The admission letters for government-sponsored students that were admitted through the Diploma holder’s scheme are not yet ready and will be picked at a date to be communicated.
3. Admission letters for international students and those whose appeal will be issued from Admissions Building Block 02 Room 03 at the date to be communicated.
4. Issuance of the admission letters is free of charge and the cases of soliciting for a fee should be reported to the academic registrar’s office, Tel@ +256 – 705.767 169

Kyambogo University Admission requirements for all the courses at the undergraduate and diploma level is updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.

For admission into programmes of study at the Kyambogo University, KYU for any first degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.

KYU GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

(i) The Ugandan Certificate of Education (O’Level) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting, and
(ii) At least 2 Principal Passes in approved subjects obtained at the same sitting of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination (A’Level).

Exceptions to the above general admission requirements are spelt out in the Weighting Criteria.

Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme

A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.

Duration of Programme: 1 Academic Year

Entry requirements for a Masters degree Programme

A Bachelors’ degree or postgraduate diploma from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.

Duration of Programme: 2 Academic Years

Entry requirements for PhD degree programme

Applicants must be holders of Master’s degree or any other related programs from a recognized University. Practitioner Experience: Applicants must have management experience of at least three years pre – or – post Masters
